HIMOINSA launches the first lighting tower in the market fueled by LPG cylinders

HIMOINSA develops the first lighting tower in the market fueled by LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders the new AS4012 LPG. With a total of 384,000 lumens, this new model illuminates up to 32,000 square meters and guarantees 24-hour running times, meaning 3 nights of continuous work.

The gas lighting tower incorporates the Yanmar engine model 3GP88-GB1PB, whose additional power for auxiliary supply rises to 5 kW (50Hz) and 7kW (60Hz). This guarantees the reduction of pollutant emissions, as well as significant savings in operating and maintenance costs compared to diesel lighting towers. The AS4012 LPG model is an interesting solution for rental companies who want to offer their

final users equipment able to ensure a reduction in OPEX. This is possible not only by reducing fuel costs, but also because operating and maintenance costs decrease significantly, as well as the need for oil change, which is 2.5 times lower: 500 hours over the 200 hours required by diesel engines.

This new model illuminates up to 32,000 square meters and guarantees 24-hour running times, meaning 3 nights of continuous work.

Being fueled by 4 LPG cylinders is what makes it a unique model in the market, preventing fuel theft, which is one of the biggest concerns of the rental sector.

Moreover, due to its propane power supply, this lighting tower is particularly suitable for large events, more populated places like cities, or environmentally sensitive areas. Pollutant gas emissions, both carbon dioxide and noise, are significantly lower than those of diesel lighting towers.

Manuel Aguilera, Gas Product Manager at HIMOINSA, emphasizes the importance of this new product for the Oil and Gas sector.

The new lighting tower AS4012 LPG incorporates a mast with 360º manual rotation and includes 4 metal halide floodlights of 1000W each. It also includes extensible stabilizers to work on uneven surfaces and areas exposed to high winds.

The new model will be showcased at Bauma, Munich, 11th to 17th April. Visit us in Hall A6 / stand 301.

"Just as gas generator sets, this lighting tower is particularly suitable for oil and gas drillings because it allows the gas used as standby supply (propane) in oil wells to power the tower engine that lights up the working area".
