Improvements in HIMOINSA control units

A new USB connector, a screen heater and enhancements to the microprocessor including a timer function in all CEM7, CEA7 and CEC7 control units

As part of continuous improvement, HIMOINSA has introduced efficiency enhancements in its control units and microprocessors. All the CEM7, CEA7, and CEC7 orders executed from 1 October 2019 will incorporate standard features that were considered optional previously.

HIMOINSA control units now include a new USB connector that allows programming the unit using a USB cable to connect to the computer. The USB/CAN module is still available to extend the connection up to 1 km away.

The new design also incorporates a screen heater that ensures optimum performance and updated information. The control unit can be programmed to automatically switch the heater whenever the temperature falls below 5º C, thereby guaranteeing the smooth operation of the unit despite extreme temperatures. The heater is prepared to operate at full power to protect the screen.

Last but not least, a timer has added up to the new features and it allows a weekly schedule programme of start-ups and locks, engine tests and maintenance, as well as energy counters (by day, month and/or year). This competitive advantage supports up to five daily schedules when the control unit is in automatic operation mode.

The new features that have been incorporated are in addition to the acknowledged advantages of HIMOINSA control units, including safety, power and robustness, providing an extra level of operability and reliability to ensure customers' satisfaction.
